About the Role
Mortenson is looking for a Senior Payroll Systems Analyst who will be responsible for systems support of our Payroll Operations and Financial Reporting groups. The role works with HR, end users, and ITS to resolve issues and implement enhancements. The Senior Payroll Systems Analyst focuses on supporting the Payroll function by assisting end users with system issues, enhancing the system, and applying patches. The analyst acts as a bridge between Finance, Payroll, HR, Operations, and ITS, partnering to implement new software releases, oversee end‑to‑end payroll processes, and lead technology solutions such as UKG, Passport, Oracle HCM, or HCSS. Responsibilities also include analyzing payroll data, troubleshooting complex issues, drafting requirements, developing test scripts, and providing training and support to end‑users.

What You Bring
Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, HRIS, Management Information Systems, or equivalent experience with at least five years in a similar role. Required skills are advanced Excel, strong problem‑solving, knowledge of payroll/time‑keeping systems (Oracle HCM, UKG, Passport, HCSS), and preferred Oracle ERP experience. Effective communication, active listening, and the ability to build relationships across the organization are also essential. Benefits
The base pay range for this role is $85,300‑$128,000, with higher ranges for specific locations (Denver, Chicago, Seattle, Portland, Washington, D.C.). Pay is positioned within the range based on knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity.
