About the Role

The Standard Operations Position supervises a high‑performing, safe operations team across multiple functions, facilities, or commodities, driving efficient and cost‑effective use of resources through consistent application of policies and procedures. The role ensures safe, reliable, and compliant operations while advancing continuous improvement and customer satisfaction, aligning with corporate and business‑unit strategies and performance metrics. • Provide visible safety leadership and drive a sustainable safety culture through meetings, audits, training, and incident investigations. • Evaluate team performance using efficiency, reliability, and quality metrics; implement corrective actions and continuous‑improvement initiatives. • Lead crew effectiveness, ensure proper staffing and skill sets, remove barriers, and contribute to resource forecasting and work planning. • Recruit, develop, and coach employees; manage performance, handle bargaining‑unit matters, and foster employee engagement. • Build and maintain internal and external relationships to support operations and enhance customer/stakeholder satisfaction. • Oversee compliance with Xcel Energy policies, labor agreements, and regulatory standards; ensure required training and documentation are completed.

What You Bring

• Minimum qualifications: 5+ years in utility design, construction, operations, engineering or maintenance; technical expertise in standards and regulations; knowledge of work and asset management systems; proven change‑leadership and performance‑driving experience. • Preferred qualifications: Associate or technical degree; 3+ years supervisory experience; completion of an approved apprenticeship; understanding of utility finance; experience working with bargaining‑unit employees; willingness to work rotating shifts or be on‑call.
