About the Role
Join us in delivering the infrastructure essential for modern Australia. As a Project Engineer with the Power Projects Team, you will lead the design and execution of high‑voltage substation and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects throughout Victoria. You will support a large‑scale substation project in Melbourne’s western suburbs, working site‑based with a drive‑in/drive‑out schedule, collaborating closely with the Project Manager and on‑site teams to coordinate construction activities, monitor progress, and uphold technical, safety and quality standards. • Assess construction risks to ensure safety, environmental and quality compliance. • Coordinate and manage construction engineering activities for timely, budget‑friendly delivery. • Promote Zero Harm principles with operational teams. • Drive business improvements that eliminate waste and reduce operational costs. • Lead subcontractor management and advise on commercial performance.

What You Bring
We are looking for an engineer with a sharp technical mind, practical problem‑solving abilities and a proven track record of delivering complex plans on time and to a high standard. A trade or electrical engineering qualification, or a Diploma in Project Management, together with experience delivering electrical utility projects—ideally in substation delivery—is required. Familiarity with tools such as MS Project, Primavera P6, @Risk and Expert Estimator is essential. • Hold a trade or electrical engineering qualification and/or a Diploma in Project Management. • Demonstrated experience delivering electrical utility projects, preferably substation delivery. • Proficient with MS Project, Primavera P6, @Risk and Expert Estimator.
