About the Role
The Driver – CDL (B) safely operates a collection truck to provide prompt, courteous, and complete waste removal services. The role also includes ensuring the vehicle meets the company’s safety standards, complying with all company, state, and federal regulations, and completing daily vehicle condition reports to address defects promptly. Key duties include performing pre‑ and post‑operation vehicle inspections for tire pressure, fluid levels, safety equipment, gauges, and controls; reading route sheets, following maps, and servicing each customer as assigned; operating manual or automatic controls to lift, load, compact, and dispose of refuse at designated facilities; and interacting courteously with customers, dispatchers, and coworkers. The driver must monitor waste for unacceptable materials, tag unsatisfactory containers, clean accidental spills according to safety policies, and keep the truck clean by removing waste from the packer blade and body on each disposal trip. They also complete required route, productivity, and vehicle condition reports while meeting productivity standards and participating in the Company’s ReSOP safety program.
