About the Role
The Maintenance Technician assists with the operation, troubleshooting, diagnostics, housekeeping, and repairs of commercial buildings, industrial systems, vehicles, grounds, and maintenance equipment for assigned properties. This role supports the overall functionality and safety of facilities. The technician responds immediately to emergency situations and customer service requests, inspects buildings, grounds, and equipment for unsafe conditions, and performs preventative maintenance. Responsibilities also include maintaining fire and life safety systems, performing carpentry, snow removal, and complying with all applicable codes, regulations, and company directives. • Assist with troubleshooting and repairs of building systems, including packaging machinery, plumbing, kitchen equipment, roofs, drains, grounds equipment, and HVAC. • Clean, lubricate, and service pumps, valves, pneumatic controls, and electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic devices. • Install and modify building equipment and systems. • Replace and repair building finishes such as ceiling tiles, door hardware, wallpaper, and paint walls, piping, floors, and equipment. • Evaluate and recommend upgrades to maintenance operations and identify savings opportunities. • Use tools and equipment safely for facility and ground maintenance. • Respond immediately to emergencies and customer service requests. • Inspect buildings, grounds, and equipment for unsafe conditions and perform preventative maintenance. • Maintain and operate fire and life safety systems, including fire alarm systems and fire pumps. • Perform carpentry and snow removal as needed. • Follow codes, regulations, company directives, and safe work habits. • Utilize technology such as smartphones, tablets, computers, web applications, and building automation systems. • Adhere to C&W uniform dress code and maintain a neat appearance.

What You Bring
The position operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and photocopiers. It requires the use of technology like smartphones, tablets, web‑based applications, and building automation systems, with physical demands that include regular communication, computer work, and moving about the workplace. • Complete required C&W safety training annually. • Technical Proficiency • Multi‑Tasking • Sense of Urgency • High School Diploma or GED equivalent • 2+ years of related experience in a commercial property setting • Technical or vocational training in HVAC, electrical, mechanical, process controls, power transmissions, painting, plumbing, carpentry, or engine repair. • Valid driver’s license (commercial may be required) with a good driving record. • Basic computing skills in Outlook, Excel, and Word. • Ability to be the sole maintenance staff during shifts, work extended periods, overtime, shift work, and on‑call duties.

Benefits
Compensation for the role ranges from $19.55 to $23.00 per hour, with eligibility for a comprehensive benefits package that includes health, vision, dental, retirement savings, and paid time off. Pay varies based on location, experience, collective bargaining status, and other eligibility factors, and will never be below minimum wage.
