About the Role

The Operational Compliance Specialist will ensure safe, efficient, innovative and cost‑effective operation of GMP buildings at Genentech’s Oceanside campus, maintaining full compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices, corporate policies, and quality standards. The role involves implementing compliance programs, conducting audits, delivering training, and investigating compliance issues to mitigate risk and uphold ethical standards. • Develop and implement compliance policies and procedures to meet regulatory standards. • Conduct audits and assessments to identify compliance gaps and risks. • Collaborate with internal teams to address issues and implement corrective actions. • Stay current on regulatory changes and ensure organization‑wide adherence. • Provide training and guidance on compliance matters to employees. • Maintain qualification as a Qualified OJT Trainer and verify frontline training status through periodic reports. • Investigate compliance violations and support supervisors with disciplinary actions. • Keep accurate records and documentation of all compliance activities. • Review documentation against area‑specific SOPs and ensure timely approvals. • Lead continuous‑improvement projects to enhance compliance processes. • Serve as backup GMP supervisor when needed and support the GMP pest‑control program, including audits and quarterly reporting.

The estimated compensation range is $81,000‑$87,000 per year, and the role does not provide visa sponsorship.
