About the Role

The Lead Engineer will oversee the entire software development lifecycle, from requirements documentation to deployment, ensuring on‑time delivery and high quality. What You Bring

Parsons is seeking an experienced and dynamic Lead Software Engineer to manage a diverse team of software professionals, including a Software Architect and various development engineers (UI/UX, Multi‑Tier, Cloud, DevOps, Data Feed). This role offers the opportunity to lead a talented team in developing cutting‑edge cloud‑based solutions that support critical missions and enhance technological capabilities. Strong leadership and communication skills are essential to foster a collaborative, high‑performing team environment. The role requires strategic problem‑solving abilities to manage complex projects and drive continuous improvement. Candidates must have at least ten years of software development and team management experience, a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, and a proven track record with agile methodologies and Scrum Master responsibilities. Experience with large cloud capability deployments and proficiency with Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence) are required, as is an active TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph. AWS certifications and NC3 mission experience are advantageous but not mandatory. An active Top Secret SCI with polygraph is required for this Federal Solutions position, which supports U.S. government missions worldwide. • Require 10+ years of software development and team leadership experience with agile/Scrum expertise. • Hold a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related discipline. • Demonstrated experience with large‑scale cloud deployments and Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence). • Possess an active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph; AWS certifications and NC3 experience are a plus.
