About the Role
• Lead mechanical design of material handling systems, including conveyors, chutes, and feeders. • Perform calculations and design checks using engineering software and spreadsheets. • Model material flows and system performance with Sidewinder, Belt Analyst, Helix, or Rocky DEM. • Collaborate with multi‑disciplinary teams to deliver detailed design packages for mining and bulk material handling projects. • Ensure designs comply with client, industry, and safety standards.

What You Bring
The Resource & Industry (R&I) team in Western Australia is seeking a Mechanical Engineer with proven materials handling experience to deliver technical designs for large mining projects from the Perth office. • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (minimum requirement). • Proven professional experience in mechanical/material handling design. • Knowledge of Australian standards for mining bulk materials handling and fluids handling systems. • Strong design and calculation skills, proficient in material handling design software (Sidewinder, Belt Analyst, Helix, Rocky DEM). • Collaborative communication and problem‑solving abilities. • Ability to work in national and global teams to create innovative bulk material handling solutions.
