About the Role

Maintain a safe working environment by embedding safety precautions into all testing activities, and demonstrate strong attention to detail while working independently. Provide engineering technical expertise to support active test programs and ensure compliance with safety standards. Configure test equipment, programming, instrumentation, and data collection systems as needed to support testing. Coordinate the build of required test equipment and review test plans with internal customers for proper setup and operation. Perform technical analysis and research for capital equipment requests, and develop accurate test cost estimates and schedules that consider all expenses. Contribute input to strategic, tactical, and capital plans to align facility capabilities with business requirements, while communicating technical requirements, schedules, and results to internal and external customers. Assist in the daily deployment of the ISO‑17025 quality system and foster a highly engaged team culture focused on cycle‑time reduction, automation, efficiency, and continuous improvement. What You Bring

Require a Bachelor’s degree in Science, Math, or Engineering from an accredited institution and a minimum of three months of internship or co‑op experience in operations, engineering, testing, or a related field. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship, be a U.S. citizen (no dual citizenship), and reside within a 50‑mile radius of Beltsville, MD, unless they are active‑duty military. Desired qualifications include experience with complex control systems, programming, and instrumentation; demonstrated mechanical aptitude; and the ability to comprehend complex written instructions. Working knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, electronics, machining, pressure‑vessel design, LabVIEW, and Microsoft Office is required, along with a willingness to quickly learn new products, technologies, and testing techniques, and the ability to prioritize and balance multiple objectives. • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Science, Math, or Engineering and at least three months of relevant internship or co‑op experience. • Be legally authorized to work in the U.S., a U.S. citizen, and located within 50 mi of Beltsville, MD (active‑duty military exempt). • Possess experience with complex control systems, programming, instrumentation, and knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, electronics, machining, pressure‑vessel design, LabVIEW, and Microsoft Office. • Demonstrate mechanical aptitude, ability to understand complex instructions, and a strong desire to learn new technologies and testing techniques. • Ability to establish priorities and balance multiple objectives.
