About the Role

The strategic IT Infrastructure and Operations Manager will lead planning, implementation, and maintenance of BrassCraft’s IT infrastructure. The role ensures reliability, scalability, and security of all systems, networks, and services while managing a team of infrastructure and support staff. It also oversees service desk operations to deliver high‑quality support and timely issue resolution, and is based in a hybrid setting in Novi, MI. The manager will drive operational excellence by aligning departmental goals with the organization’s strategy, establishing key performance indicators, and continuously improving processes. Collaboration with IT and business leadership will define the operational roadmap, prioritize initiatives, and integrate new technologies. The position also includes responsibility for vendor management, budgeting, asset lifecycle governance, and security operations. • Lead IT operations ensuring high availability, optimal performance, and robust security. • Supervise and mentor multi‑location staff to deliver effective services and foster professional growth. • Oversee incident, problem, and change management, coordinating with Managed Service Providers. • Develop and execute service and operational strategies aligned with organizational goals. • Manage IT service catalog, request models, SLAs/SLOs, knowledge base, and problem trend analysis. • Own backup and disaster recovery, meeting RTO/RPO targets and ensuring data immutability. • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for infrastructure services. • Collaborate with IT and business leaders to define operational roadmap and priorities. • Evaluate and implement new technologies, tools, and processes to improve efficiency. • Ensure daily operations comply with company policies; act as escalation point for complex issues. • Liaise with Masco IT Support for enterprise‑wide system troubleshooting. • Design, deploy, and maintain servers, networks, storage, and cloud environments. • Create and enforce IT policies, procedures, and best practices for infrastructure management. • Manage vendor relationships, contracts, SLAs, and conduct QBR governance. • Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and resource planning for infrastructure. • Govern asset lifecycle, updating refresh policies and tracking assets. • Oversee manufacturing plant IT operations, including industrial network segmentation and labeling systems integration. • Lead security operations: vulnerability management, patching, incident response, identity controls, and security training.

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field. • 7+ years in IT infrastructure and operations, with at least 3 years in leadership. • Expertise in networking, server virtualization, Azure cloud, and enterprise systems. • Hands‑on experience with Commvault (or similar backup), Azure/M365/Entra ID security, and Intune/Autopilot. • Experience implementing Change Advisory Board (CAB) and service catalog. • Strong vendor management, contract negotiation, SLA administration, and QBR execution. • Proven ability to manage IT services across multi‑site, manufacturing, lab, and remote environments. • Experience with ServiceNow or comparable ITSM platforms. • Professional certifications preferred (ITIL, PMP, CCNA/CCNP, Azure Administrator, etc.). • Demonstrated leadership, project management, strategic thinking, and problem‑solving skills. • Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and change management capabilities. • Customer‑focused mindset with commitment to service excellence. • Financial acumen for budgeting, expense monitoring, and ROI optimization.
