About the Role
The Nurse will manage clinical and non‑clinical staff, provide first‑aid triage, and oversee incident and illness management in line with the Event Management Standard. They will also coordinate case management for work‑related injuries and illnesses, ensuring timely and safe return‑to‑work for employees. Compliance is a core responsibility, including oversight of medical surveillance programs to meet federal, state, and company standards, as well as adherence to EHS Maturity Model Standards such as hearing conservation, respiratory protection, ergonomics, and industrial hygiene. The role partners with EHS, HR, legal, and plant leadership to address ADA, FMLA, STD, and workers‑comp matters. The Nurse will conduct regular site walks, risk assessments, and ergonomic reviews, and develop health‑promotion initiatives covering mental health, nutrition, physical activity, and stress management. They will also identify occupational hazards, support incident investigations, and maintain accurate, confidential electronic health records. • Provide first‑aid triage, referrals, and delegate duties as appropriate. • Manage incidents and illnesses, ensuring compliance with Event Management Standard. • Oversee case management for work‑related injuries and facilitate safe return‑to‑work. • Administer medical surveillance programs in line with Federal, State, and company requirements. • Ensure compliance with EHS standards: hearing conservation, respiratory protection, ergonomics, blood‑borne pathogens, emergency response, industrial hygiene. • Collaborate with EHS, HR, legal, and plant leadership on ADA, FMLA, STD, and workers‑comp matters. • Conduct regular site walks, risk assessments, and ergonomic reviews. • Develop and deliver health‑promotion programs on mental health, nutrition, physical activity, and stress management. • Identify and mitigate occupational hazards; support incident investigations and root‑cause analysis. • Maintain accurate, confidential electronic employee health records. • Lead and train the Medical Emergency Response Team, ensuring certifications, drills, and compliance. • Manage clinic budget and cost expenditures to sustain operations.

Qualified candidates hold an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in nursing, a state nursing license, and at least three years of occupational health or related experience. They must demonstrate strong clinical assessment skills, proficiency with Microsoft Office and EMR systems (e.g., Cority), and a solid understanding of OSHA, workers‑comp, and HIPAA regulations. Required certifications include CPR/AED, COHN or COHN‑S, Spirometry, and Hearing Conservation. • Hold an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in nursing and a valid state nursing license. • Minimum 3 years experience in occupational health, acute care, emergency, urgent care, or ICU settings. • Demonstrated clinical assessment abilities with empathetic, compassionate care. • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and electronic medical records systems (e.g., Cority). • Experience navigating complex workers‑comp cases; strong knowledge of OSHA regulations. • Required certifications: CPR/AED, COHN or COHN‑S (obtain within 3 years), Spirometry (within 1 year), Hearing Conservation (within 1 year). • Working knowledge of EAP, OSHA, FMLA, ADA, and HIPAA.
