About the Role
• Store, remove, load, and unload materials from bins, pallets, trays, racks, and vehicles unsuitable for material handling devices. • Open containers using steel cutters, crowbars, claw hammers, or other hand tools. • Operate manual or mechanical devices and stock inventory shelves. • Secure lifting attachments and convey loads using hand‑operated cranes, hoists, or by signaling operators. • Read production, customer, work, or shipping orders and follow oral instructions to determine items to move or distribute. • Assort and place materials on racks, shelves, or bins according to size, type, style, or color. • Count, weigh, and record units of materials handled on daily production sheets. • Attach identifying tags or labels to materials and mark information on containers. • Move materials and supplies from the warehouse and prepare them for delivery. • Fill requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, tools, or stock items. • Stack or assemble materials into bundles and band them using a banding machine and clincher. • Clamp portable conveyor sections together or place them on blocks or boxes for material movement. • Lift objects by hand or power hoist and clean work areas, machines, and equipment with broom, rags, and cleaning compounds. • Make simple adjustments or repairs, such as realigning belts or replacing rollers, using hand tools. • Assemble crates to contain products, such as machines or vehicles, using hand tools and precut lumber. • Shovel loose materials like sand, gravel, metals, plastics, or chemicals into hoppers, vehicles, or containers. • Record material items received or distributed. • Maintain inventory records as needed. • Perform routine housekeeping tasks to maintain the work area. • Follow all hazardous waste handling guidelines. • Observe and follow all safety rules and procedures, including wearing required personal protective equipment. • Plan work and select proper tools. • Compare and discern differences in size, shape, and form of lines, figures, and objects. • Visualize objects in three dimensions from plans and drawings. • Make decisions based on measurable criteria. • Report unsafe conditions and practices.

What You Bring
The role requires familiarity with tools and consumables, the ability to hand out and receive tools and welding wire, and knowledge of tool repair. The employee must be capable of ordering consumables and tools while maintaining a distribution log. A high school diploma or equivalent and prior experience in a related field are typically required. The position relies on established guidelines and close supervision, with limited independent judgment, and reports to a supervisor or manager. Physical demands include standing, walking, and sitting for extended periods, lifting and carrying up to 50 lb, and pushing or pulling loads. The job also involves climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, handling, and fine finger work, performed at varying frequencies.
