About the Role
As a field‑based specialist you will travel to on‑shore and off‑shore customer sites throughout the APAC region, providing installation and maintenance support for control and electrical systems on Baker Hughes equipment. You will work both independently and as part of a collaborative Field Service team, ensuring activities align with quality, safety and HSE standards. • Ensure all in‑field activities are performed safely and comply with quality, customer, and company HSE standards. • Inspect, check, and test control and electrical systems on Baker Hughes equipment during installation and maintenance. • Identify faults, conduct troubleshooting, and implement solutions to keep projects on schedule. • Participate in installations, commissioning, and start‑up of turbomachinery. • Execute planned maintenance outages and respond to unscheduled maintenance events.

What You Bring
The role requires a strong focus on health, safety and the environment, as well as at least five years of experience with machinery control systems in oil & gas, power generation or aviation, particularly with the Mark VIe family. You must be comfortable travelling up to 70‑80 % of the time, possess solid analytical and problem‑solving abilities, and demonstrate proactive attitudes toward process improvement and automation. • Minimum five years of experience with machinery control systems in oil & gas, power generation, or aviation. • Proficiency with Mark VIe (or Mark Vies) control system family. • Extensive background in troubleshooting, maintenance, start‑up, and commissioning of gas turbines, compressors, and auxiliary systems. • Ability to travel throughout Australia and internationally, spending up to 70‑80 % of time on site. • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, interpersonal, and organizational skills. • Proactive mindset toward process improvement and automation.
