About the Role

• Drive Clean Energy Center performance by coordinating and delivering performance‑based Reactor Operator and Non‑Licensed Operator training programs. • Incorporate INPO Significant Operating Experience Reports, NRC bulletins, design changes, regulatory updates and training effectiveness data into curriculum. • Prepare examinations, evaluate trainees in classroom, lab, OJT and simulator settings, and develop individualized training plans. • Support CEC business initiatives, project management, refuel outage, emergency preparedness and special projects. • Participate in NRC, INPO and management audits and formulate responses to audit findings. • Supervise the collection and maintenance of auditable training records and reporting. • Perform additional duties such as emergency response, departmental coverage, call‑outs and outage support as directed.

What You Bring

The position requires mastery of skills and extensive subject‑matter knowledge to design, develop, implement, evaluate and modify plant‑specific nuclear‑licensed operations training programs. It involves applying systematic training approaches, integrating regulatory updates, and ensuring training effectiveness across classroom, laboratory, on‑the‑job and simulator environments. The role also supports the Clean Energy Center’s business initiatives, project management, outage activities and emergency preparedness. • Achieve Senior Reactor Operator (SRO) certification within 18 months of hire. • Minimum qualifications: 6 years of equipment operator experience (test reactor, commercial, industrial, or military) or equivalent combination of associate degree plus nuclear technical background; current or prior licensed Reactor Operator or SRO certification with required experience; or bachelor's degree in engineering/science with nuclear technical background. • Must meet ANSI/ANS‑3.1‑2014 standards, maintain required access levels and pass a favorable medical examination. • Preferred qualifications: experience in commercial nuclear training and knowledge of the systematic approach to training (SAT).
