About the Role

The Environmental Services (ES) Field Technician II works under general supervision, receiving general work instructions and applying limited judgment to semi‑routine tasks. The role involves moderate‑scope decisions and offers the opportunity to train or guide less‑experienced team members. Key duties include tank cleaning, oil‑spill cleanup, drum handling, decontamination, sweeping, shoveling, high‑pressure washing and other remedial activities, often in confined spaces such as manholes. The technician responds to customer spills and emergencies during regular and after‑hours shifts, maintains equipment and the work site, and operates light and heavy clean‑up equipment—including roll‑off trucks, vacuum trucks, box trucks, skid steers, forklifts, pumps and pallet‑jacks. All activities are performed safely and in compliance with company safety policies and relevant regulations.

What You Bring

Preferred qualifications emphasize strong reading and comprehension of operational, technical, safety and quality documents, proficient use of hand and shop tools, and the ability to interpret safety data sheets. Candidates must understand chemical hazards, demonstrate a positive attitude, mental resilience, and be willing to report unsafe conditions. Experience with heavy‑ and light‑equipment operation, a Class C driver’s license (hazmat endorsement preferred), and certifications such as confined‑space entry or equipment‑operation licenses are valued. Minimum requirements include 2–4 years of relevant experience, the ability to pass a 40‑hour HAZWOPER training, and the capacity to lift up to 50 lb.
