About the Role
• Inspect, service, and repair a wide variety of rental equipment to meet Milton Rents and OEM standards • Diagnose and repair hydraulic, electrical, drive, diesel engine, and other mechanical systems • Report daily workflow and schedule to service manager and branch manager • Respond to dispatches from remote locations or home base; work independently in remote areas • Interact positively with customers, employees, management, and equipment manufacturers • Uphold Milton Rents and Milton CAT safety practices and standards • Perform shop work when not on the road and maintain accurate repair orders, parts orders, and time records • Ensure efficient, thorough repairs and rental check‑ins; keep service truck clean, organized, and stocked • Wear required personal protective equipment and complete all paperwork within required timeframes

What You Bring
Technicians report daily to the service and branch managers, may be dispatched from remote locations or home base, and must be self‑starters comfortable working in remote areas and local shop settings. Safety, accurate record‑keeping, and proper PPE use are mandatory, and the service truck must be kept clean and stocked. The role requires lifting up to 80 lb and possessing personal tools. Applicants must have a high‑school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license with a medical card, and at least five years of experience in construction rental or heavy equipment. The position is field‑based with an hourly pay range of $27.50‑$37.50.
