About the Role
Associate Directors work on a wide range of public and private sector programmes—including aviation, highways, rail, environment and utilities—managing multiple disciplines, advisors and clients throughout the project lifecycle. They are responsible for setting strategy, driving performance, ensuring health and safety compliance (including CDM), delivering innovative and sustainable solutions, and fostering inclusive teamwork and strong client relationships. • Manage multidisciplinary teams, advisors and contractors across the full infrastructure project lifecycle. • Set strategic direction, performance standards and deliver results in ambiguous, complex environments. • Ensure health, safety and wellbeing of the team, applying CDM regulations appropriately. • Anticipate client challenges and provide innovative, sustainable solutions. • Promote inclusive teamwork and a “one business” mindset across Turner & Townsend and client organisations. • Build and nurture long‑term client and industry partnerships. • Coach, mentor and develop junior project managers and emerging talent. • Maintain strong stakeholder relationships with diverse personalities and organisations.

What You Bring
• Hold a degree in management, construction, infrastructure or a related field, or equivalent experience. • Possess professional membership with APM, ICE or similar, and a project management certification (APM, PRINCE2, MSP, ChPP). • Hold NEC accreditation and experience handling complex procurement contracts. • Proven experience managing contractors, consultants and advisors on multi‑sector infrastructure programmes. • Familiarity with public sector bodies, sustainability principles and carbon‑literacy. • Relevant safety qualifications (e.g., CSCS) and other industry certifications.
