About the Role

Key responsibilities include managing and training Cost Department staff, supervising the preparation of cost reports and forecasts, and providing independent judgments on Budget Analysis Reports (BAR) with recommendations. The manager also prepares financial information for the Annual Plan, trains other departments and jobsite staff in cost control, evaluates data integrity, identifies project risks, and facilitates monthly forecasting for profit center projections. Regular discussions with the General and Financial Managers, attendance at Operations Review Management and project set‑up meetings, and ensuring final Cost Audited BAR reconciliation are also required. • Manage and evaluate Cost Department staff; provide training in project cost control and forecasting. • Supervise preparation of cost reports, forecasts, and special studies. • Provide independent judgment and recommendations in Budget Analysis Reports (BAR) for projects. • Prepare financial information, forecasts, and recommendations for the Annual Plan. • Train other departments and jobsite staff on cost control functions. • Evaluate data from Cost Analyst to ensure integrity. • Identify project risks affecting earnings and develop corrective action plans. • Facilitate monthly forecasting for profit center revenue and earnings (BPC). • Discuss project issues regularly with General Manager and Finance Manager. • Attend Operations Review Management (ORM) and project set‑up meetings. • Ensure preparation of final Cost Audited BAR (CAB) to reconcile to contract value. • Track publication of BARs, CABs, and Interim Outcome Reports (IORs).

What You Bring

Candidates must hold a bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field and have at least six years of accounting experience, including Cost Analyst experience. Extensive knowledge of accounting principles, Turner's policies, strong leadership and interpersonal skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office are required. Excellent verbal and written communication abilities are essential, and the assignment requires approval from the National Director of Cost. The role involves regular sitting, standing, walking, and occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds, with specific visual requirements. The work environment may include exposure to moving mechanical parts, airborne particles, and caustic chemicals, with moderate noise levels. The salary range for this role is $76,000 to $94,000 annually.
