About the Role
The Frontline Operations Leader is responsible for onboarding, developing, coaching, mentoring, and performance management of drivers and helpers. The role builds positive relationships with front‑line employees and spends most of the day in the field supporting them. Key duties include providing tools, instruction, and daily feedback to new employees, maintaining consistent communication, reviewing best practices, and supporting career‑goal progress. The leader identifies improvement opportunities, conducts coaching conversations, enforces safety practices, leads root‑cause investigations for injuries, ensures regulatory documentation is accurate, audits route‑operation records, and visits customer sites to resolve safety issues. • Onboard, coach, mentor, and manage performance of drivers and helpers in the field. • Provide daily tools, instruction, and feedback to new frontline employees. • Maintain consistent communication and regular touchpoints with staff. • Review and apply best practices to improve daily performance. • Support employee career‑goal development and identify improvement opportunities. • Conduct safety‑focused coaching, root‑cause investigations, and enforce discipline/training. • Audit and document route operations, including DVIRs, time‑attendance, and tickets. • Visit customer sites to evaluate and resolve safety issues.

What You Bring
Required qualifications are an associate’s degree (or high school diploma with two years of relevant experience), minimum age of 18, legal work authorization, and a valid driver’s license. Preferred qualification is successful completion of the WM Operations Manager Trainee program. • Required: associate’s degree (or high school diploma + 2 years experience), age 18+, legal work status, valid driver’s license. • Preferred: completion of WM Operations Manager Trainee program.
