About the Role
As part of the R&D team, you will design new products, develop new technologies, and improve existing product lines. You will manage projects of varying complexity and have a significant impact on product cost, performance, reliability, and manufacturability. Your work will directly influence the competitiveness of Waygate’s offerings. You will execute design analysis and evaluations using solid engineering principles while adhering to business standards and program requirements. Collaboration with interdisciplinary teams will take designs from ideation through prototyping, refinement, and validation, and you will partner with suppliers to optimize cost and consistency. Complex technical issues will be prioritized and resolved quickly, and you will contribute to innovation by researching new technologies and submitting patents. Design reviews will cover FMEA, manufacturing, reliability, and supplier capability.

What You Bring
The position requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering and at least three years of New Product Introduction mechanical engineering experience.
