Heavy Duty Equipment Mechanic

About the Role

• Maintain an uncompromising focus on safety. • Perform heavy or major maintenance repairs on heavy equipment and trucks. • Conduct routine scheduled maintenance and inspections. • Complete accurate maintenance and work‑order repair records. • Weld and fabricate parts as needed. • Manage heavy‑equipment parts, including catalog use, procurement, handling, storage, and cost control. • Perform housekeeping duties and work‑area checks. • Operate mobile equipment and company vehicles on public roads and job sites. • Work independently, schedule own tasks, and operate with limited supervision. • Handle physical tasks such as stooping, pushing, kneeling, twisting, lifting up to 70 lb, and climbing heights up to 20 ft. • Work in all weather conditions and develop professional relationships with employees and vendors.

What You Bring

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair engines, brakes, transmissions, hydraulics, drivetrains, HVAC, electrical, and other systems. • Be available for weekend work and overtime as required.

Benefits

Starting compensation is $36 per hour, consisting of a $34 base wage plus a $2 shift differential. Pay rates are adjusted according to the candidate’s experience and skill set.
