About the Role
The Area Sales Manager oversees sales performance and margin improvement for an assigned region while building a best‑in‑class sales team. Responsibilities include staffing, training, motivating the sales force, and collaborating closely with the division’s operating team to meet goals on schedule. Key day‑to‑day duties involve leading, coaching, and mentoring team members, assisting the Directors of Sales and Marketing with sales‑related tasks, and implementing sales goals and training programs. The manager also guides New Home Consultants on sales techniques, coordinates with escrow companies and lenders, tracks escrow, prepares sales reports, and ensures all paperwork complies with regulatory standards. • Lead, coach, and mentor the sales team to achieve performance targets. • Assist Directors of Sales and Marketing with strategic sales initiatives. • Implement sales goals and training programs aligned with divisional objectives. • Guide New Home Consultants on effective sales techniques and customer satisfaction. • Coordinate escrow processes, track reports, and ensure regulatory compliance. • Attend promotional events and conduct sales meetings to support divisional initiatives.

What You Bring
Applicants must have at least five years of residential sales, management, or real‑estate experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid driver’s license with a good record, and auto‑insurance coverage. Strong verbal and written communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills are required, and the ability to handle confrontational situations objectively is essential. Experience with a homebuilder in new‑home sales and a college degree are strongly preferred. • Minimum 5 years experience in residential sales, management, or real‑estate. • High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred. • Valid driver’s license, good driving record, and auto‑insurance coverage. • Excellent verbal and written communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. • Ability to handle confrontational situations objectively.
