About the Role

The position involves operating and maintaining a variety of land‑survey instruments—including total stations, GNSS receivers and levels—to support field crews. The technician records geospatial data, prepares field notes, loads and unloads equipment, and follows all company safety procedures. • Operate, check, and perform basic field adjustments on land survey equipment (tripods, tribraches, levels, total stations, GNSS receivers, data radios/modems). • Use survey controllers and software to collect geospatial data and conduct survey computations. • Read and interpret maps and plans; produce neat, orderly field notes under Crew Chief supervision. • Communicate progress and issues to the Crew Chief. • Load, unload, clean, and maintain survey equipment, tools, and vehicles. • Follow company safety procedures for land survey operations.
