About the Role

Key duties include conducting detailed reviews of civil OSP packages—such as trenching, duct banks, micro‑duct, and manhole routing—while validating designs against client‑specific documentation, municipal ROW requirements, and standards like NEC, NESC, UFC, RUS, and BICSI. The Lead will provide QC oversight, generate actionable comments for designers and CAD teams, and support project managers with review cycles, comment logs, and submittal tracking. Collaboration with OSP engineers, GIS teams, and construction stakeholders, as well as participation in routing analysis and constructability checks, are also required. • Review civil OSP design packages including trenching, duct banks, micro‑duct, and manholes. • Validate designs against client documentation, municipal ROW rules, and national standards (NEC, NESC, UFC, RUS, BICSI). • Provide QC oversight, identify inconsistencies, and deliver actionable review comments. • Assist project managers with review cycles, comment logs, deadlines, and submittal tracking. • Coordinate with OSP engineers, civil designers, GIS teams, and construction stakeholders. • Participate in routing analysis and constructability validation for alignments. • Maintain and improve Civil‑OSP QC checklists and streamline upstream design processes. • Mentor junior reviewers and onboard external resources. • Leverage Smartsheet and automation tools to increase workflow efficiency.

What You Bring

The company is hiring a fully remote Civil OSP Telecom Lead to support design review, quality control, and project management across its Outside‑Plant (OSP) programs. The role will absorb increasing review workloads, eliminate bottlenecks, and ensure consistent delivery when the broader OSP team reaches capacity. The specialist will focus on verifying compliance with client documentation, local regulations, and national standards before deliverables advance. The position requires a BA/BS in a related field and at least two years of civil OSP experience, with a preference for four or more years and additional GIS expertise. Proficiency with Smartsheet is essential, and candidates should be skilled at applying local and national engineering standards to ensure design compliance. • Require BA/BS in a related field with at least 2 years (preferably 4+) of civil OSP experience. • Proficiency with Smartsheet; GIS experience preferred.
