About the Role

The incumbent will perform daily project operations and engineering activities, coordinating project planning, VDC, and generating basic financial reports. On‑site support will be provided for delivery coordination and material hand‑offs in collaboration with the project team, vendors, and the xPL organization according to the project schedule. The role demands strong collaboration with xPL management, project teams, vendors, owners, and construction resources to identify and resolve issues, while maintaining a comprehensive project documentation system that includes photography, meeting minutes, engineering documents, and shop drawings. Documentation is uploaded to project‑specific folders to ensure timely access. • Collaborate with xPL management and stakeholders to resolve project issues. • Maintain and upload comprehensive project documentation, including photos, minutes, and drawings. • Coordinate onsite delivery schedules and develop a delivery schedule aligned with the Contract Items List. • Manage submittals, transmittals, and RFIs for project deliverables and approvals. • Review procurement and engineering packages to verify vendor scope of work. • Record and analyze pending change orders, providing onsite measurements and reports. • Generate and distribute project status reports covering schedule, materials, manufacturing, and engineering documents. • Facilitate site readiness, including transportation schedules, delivery methods, and delay notifications. • Conduct inventory checks and obtain chain‑of‑custody signatures for deliveries. • Verify environmental and predecessor work requirements for equipment deliveries. • Re‑inspect stored materials after extended periods. • Compile documentation for delay back‑charges and claims. • Assist in collecting and uploading vendor close‑out documentation. • Support safe project deliveries and adhere to safety policies.

What You Bring

The position is located in the xPL Offsite division in Decatur, Alabama, and requires 90‑100% travel. It is a regular, salaried exempt role within the construction job family. Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Supply Chain, Engineering, Industrial Systems Engineering, or a related field, or possess an equivalent combination of education and experience, with at least three years in manufacturing or construction. Required skills include interpreting contract documents, strong judgment for problem solving, self‑starter attitude, excellent communication, teamwork, organizational detail, and proficiency with Microsoft Office and collaborative tools such as Procore, ACC, SAP, and Clearstory. The job involves frequent physical activity such as climbing, kneeling, lifting up to 25 pounds, and working on construction sites exposed to mechanical hazards, weather, and noise. Employees must adhere to safety policies and may work both on‑site and in office settings.
