About the Role

The Contractor Coordinator role is part of the Distribution Capital Execution team in Energy Delivery Capital Management, located in Sackville, NS. Reporting to the Senior Engineer – Distribution Capital Execution, the position shares overall accountability for contractors who increase reliability and expand the energy delivery system. The closing date for applications is February 16, 2026. In this role you will facilitate effective communication between contractors, Energy Delivery Scheduling, Regional Operations, and Billing/Receiving. You will monitor contractor performance, create processes to review and confirm invoicing, and escalate business issues or risks for timely resolution. You will also act as a key stakeholder in the Contractor Safety Management Program and be part of the standby response team for unplanned events. • Serve as primary liaison between distribution contractors, Energy Delivery Scheduling, Regional Operations, and Billing/Receiving. • Monitor contractor performance and develop/maintain key metrics and reports for stakeholders. • Review and verify contractor invoicing, ensure compliance with service contracts, and approve or escalate discrepancies. • Support the Contractor Safety Management Program by providing training, facilitating compliance checks, and participating in the standby response team. • Collaborate with Energy Delivery and Procurement to develop contracting strategies, administer contracts, and participate in negotiations. • Ensure alignment with corporate, regulatory, and environmental compliance, including EMS requirements.

What You Bring

The successful candidate will hold a college or university diploma, possess a valid Nova Scotia driver’s licence, and may bring assets such as Oracle Fusion experience, a project management certification, or utility‑service background. Personal safety, adherence to occupational health and safety regulations, and accountability for environmental performance are essential. Strong document management, multitasking, communication, analytical, and team‑working skills, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office, are required. • College/technical diploma or university degree from an accredited institution. • Valid Nova Scotia driver’s license for field site visits and travel. • Experience with Oracle Fusion, SharePoint, Maximo, or other project management software (asset). • Recognized project management certification or equivalent experience (asset). • Prior experience working for an electric utility or utility services contractor (asset). • Strong document and records management capabilities. • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently as a self‑starter. • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. • Analytical, quantitative, and detail‑oriented mindset. • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
