About the Role

The role focuses on high‑voltage direct‑current (HVDC) power transmission projects, involving design, documentation, testing, and supervision of installation and commissioning of control and protection (C&P) hardware. The department handles C&P hardware design for HVDC systems and provides global on‑site installation and commissioning support. You will implement control and protection hardware solutions, prepare design specifications, overview diagrams, and concept clarifications, and lead design review meetings to identify errors and drive improvements. Responsibilities also include cubicle design, integration of all hardware components, creation of bills of material and terminal diagrams, coordination with manufacturers, and preparation of cable lists and termination schedules. Further duties involve supporting functional performance tests, site commissioning, ensuring engineering deliverables meet project schedules, and complying with external and internal regulations while upholding Hitachi Energy’s safety and integrity values. You will also be responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and guidelines. • Design, document, test, and supervise installation of HVDC control and protection hardware. • Prepare design specifications, overview diagrams, and concept clarifications. • Lead or participate in design review meetings and implement corrective actions. • Design cubicles, integrate hardware components, and create bills of material and terminal diagrams. • Coordinate with manufacturers, inspect cubicles, and prepare cable lists and termination schedules. • Support functional performance tests and site commissioning. • Ensure engineering deliverables meet project schedules and comply with regulations. • Uphold Hitachi Energy’s safety and integrity core values.

What You Bring

Candidates should hold a Diploma, B.E., or B.Tech in Electrical Engineering and have 3–6 years of experience in power generation, EBoP, or HV/EHV substation projects. Required skills include proficiency with Windows, MS Office, AutoCAD, Electrical Engineering Base/ELCAD, and Hidraw, as well as strong communication, teamwork, and the ability to work under tight schedules in a multicultural environment. • Hold a Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in Electrical Engineering with 3‑6 years HV/EHV substation experience. • Proficient in Windows, MS Office, AutoCAD, Electrical Engineering Base/ELCAD, and Hidraw. • Demonstrate strong communication, teamwork, and ability to work under tight schedules. • Open‑minded, creative, quick learner, and flexible in a multicultural environment.
