About the Role

What You Bring

Technician Apprentices at Republic Services maintain fleet performance and quality by conducting routine and preventive maintenance on both diesel and non‑diesel equipment. Apprentices develop logical problem‑solving skills, a passion for vehicle engineering, and uphold the company's core values. During the program, apprentices receive hands‑on experience in electrical diagnostics, air‑conditioning and heating systems, wheel‑end assemblies, air brakes, hydraulics, and overall truck preventative maintenance. Each apprentice is supported by a dedicated mentor and supervised by a Fleet Maintenance manager while building professional networks across the company. Candidates must commit to the two‑year program, possess strong logical reasoning and an interest in engineering, and be able to work flexible hours that include nights, weekends, and holidays. They must travel to Dallas for the initial training, relocate to an assigned U.S. location upon completion, and embrace Republic Services’ safety, ethics, and respect standards. • Earn Apprentice certification to become a Diesel Mechanic.
