About the Role

The Material Receiver supports the Field Buyer by handling daily receipt of construction materials and ensuring accurate on‑site inventory of major items. In this role you will work closely with the logistics team, site management, and subcontractors to coordinate deliveries, maintain records, and provide timely reports, helping keep the project’s supply chain running smoothly. • Coordinate with logistics to schedule and accompany deliveries to the appropriate laydown locations. • Verify accuracy of material packing slips and inspect shipments for damage. • Distribute received materials to designated site personnel and track major material check‑out logs. • Prepare daily delivery reports for onsite management. • Complete receiving paperwork for accounting and upload documentation (POIRs, inventory sheets) to Procore. • Maintain proper storage of materials per vendor requirements and update subcontractor contact lists. • Support equipment transfers to subcontractors and track pre‑turnover maintenance of permanent plant equipment. • Provide backup support to the Field Buyer and perform other assigned duties.

What You Bring

Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent, at least one year of construction experience, and a strong focus on safety. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and scheduling software, effective communication skills, and basic knowledge of rigging and material handling are also required. • High school diploma or equivalent (preferred). • Minimum one year of construction experience. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, Outlook, and scheduling software. • Ability to communicate effectively with project managers, superintendents, clients, and the public. • Basic knowledge of rigging, off‑loading, and interpretation of written or oral instructions. • Strong problem‑solving skills in standardized situations.
