About the Role

The Production Worker will operate in a self‑directed, team‑oriented advanced forging environment, producing quality products safely and efficiently. The role involves operating various forge and trimming presses, handling equipment, and maintaining high‑quality standards throughout the shift. • Set up equipment and tooling per Process Sheet Work Instructions. • Inspect product quality using gauges, SPC tracking, and blueprint reading. • Perform preventive maintenance and inspections on equipment and forklifts. • Operate and adjust forge press, trim press, automatic loader, graphite spray, and heat induction systems. • Communicate with team members to ensure product quality and customer satisfaction. • Participate in continuous‑improvement teams and task forces. • Read and interpret blueprints, safety rules, and maintenance instructions. • Apply basic math and measurement skills (micrometers, calipers). • Detect visual quality defects during production. • Commit to all safety rules, PPE, and regulations.

What You Bring

Candidates must reside within 50 miles of South Bend (with active‑duty military exempt) and the position does not include relocation assistance or immigration sponsorship. Only U.S. citizens or permanent residents meeting these criteria will be considered. • Hold a high school diploma or GED. • Have prior manufacturing experience. • Demonstrate 1‑2 years of stable continuous employment with one company. • Preferred: machine operator experience. • Able to lift/handle forgings and dies up to 30 lb and stand/walk throughout the shift. • Capable of hearing and speaking with teammates while working. • Tolerate extreme temperature changes, humidity, noise (≈97 dB), vibrations, and fumes from forging processes. • Flexible to work any shift, weekends, holidays, and overtime.
