About the Role

The position leads all Chemistry and Radioactive Waste management functions, ensuring that chemistry programs protect critical Clean Energy Center assets and meet regulatory requirements. It provides leadership, advocacy, and performance oversight for chemistry and rad‑waste operations across the facility. • Supervise, mentor, and coach chemistry supervisors and team members • Lead CEC chemistry performance and equipment reliability initiatives • Monitor performance and maintain aggressive improvement plans • Manage contracts for radioactive waste, water treatment, and chemistry sampling • Oversee budget and performance indicators for the department and CEC • Ensure regulatory compliance for chemistry, radwaste, and environmental programs • Implement development and succession planning within the department • Maintain Business Unit and management relationships • Lead Chemistry Technician Training Program and staff development • Respond to emergencies, provide departmental coverage, and support outage activities • Meet ANSI/ANS-3.1-2014 standards for nuclear plant personnel

What You Bring

• Drive department and CEC performance as a leader and peer group member • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, related science, or chemical engineering • Possess 8 years of nuclear‑related experience, including 4 years in chemistry and 2 years in nuclear power plant operations • Have at least 1 year of supervisory experience • Satisfy access and medical examination requirements for the position • Experience in operations and chemistry • Financial management background • Environmental expertise • Knowledge of collective bargaining agreements and labor relations • Experience interacting with regulators
