About the Role
The HSE TECH position is responsible for field observations to ensure the highest possible degree of safety for employees. The successful candidate will be a self‑starter who enjoys daily involvement with multiple contractors in the chemical industry. • Conduct job walks to become familiar with units and equipment. • Ensure contractors comply with federal, state, and local laws, regulations, rules, and codes. • Assist in planning and implementing contractor safety training for employee orientation. • Identify and evaluate hazardous conditions and unsafe practices during on‑site inspections. • Participate in the safety observation program, submit feedback, and ensure documentation is submitted and tracked. • Provide advice and counseling on all compliance regulations. • Compile, analyze, and interpret incident report data to develop corrective actions and ensure compliance with company safety policies. • Participate in safety walks and audits, offering corrective advice to at‑risk employees. • Apply high level technical expertise to continuous process improvement while maintaining maximum safety.
