About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to join multidisciplinary teams, guiding projects from concept development through detailed design, specifications, equipment sizing, and construction engagement for Data Centre and Mission Critical facilities. • Lead concept through detailed design of electrical systems for data centres/mission‑critical projects. • Produce installation designs, specifications, and cost estimates for complete electrical systems. • Conduct in‑house design reviews to ensure technical compliance and consistent quality. • Manage and motivate design staff, set objectives, monitor performance, and coach development. • Implement and oversee QA procedures, health and safety, and CDM regulatory compliance. • Ensure adherence to ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 quality management standards. • Coordinate electrical design with other disciplines and stakeholders. • Design critical MV/LV power, standby generation, UPS, earthing, fire alarm and life‑safety systems. • Utilize Revit, AutoCAD, and 3D coordination tools for system modeling.

What You Bring
The ideal candidate is a competent, self‑starting designer who can manage resources, uphold the highest technical and regulatory standards, and collaborate effectively within a broader engineering team. • Hold a BEng/MSc in Electrical or Building Services engineering (or equivalent). • Bring at least 5 years of electrical design experience, preferably in data‑centre environments. • Possess strong knowledge of building power, lighting, signal, and BMS design. • Demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft Office and electrical design software. • Exhibit commitment to HDR’s employee‑owned culture and collaborative values.
