About the Role

The role is responsible for preparing owner billings in accordance with contractual terms, ensuring job costs comply with internal control procedures, and identifying financial risks. It also manages relationships with subcontractors and the project management team to provide high‑level customer service and timely payments. • Administer jobs with complex contractual issues independently, including certified payroll reporting, diversity & inclusion participation, prevailing wage, and TIF requirements. • Prepare cost‑plus, cost‑plus GMP, or lump‑sum billings, ensuring all allowable costs are billed timely. • Track subcontractor lien waivers. • Use project management software (CMiC) for billing processes. • Prepare and review monthly financial reports, such as job profit swings, late/unbilled activity, and account analysis. • Assist with preparation of financial, ad‑hoc, and specialized reporting requested by group leaders. • Review, sign, and approve client billings for project accountants. • Train and mentor new hires. • Lead special projects. • Facilitate job closeout by preparing closed‑job accruals, reconciling, and understanding profit or loss. • Coordinate the billing process with the project team.

What You Bring

• Elevate awareness of financial implications that can be addressed or reversed. • Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting, preferably with a business discipline. • Minimum of 5 + years construction accounting experience. • Construction or property management experience preferred. • Strong interpersonal skills. • Ability to work independently, take initiative, set priorities, and see projects through to completion. • Demonstrated ability to analyze issues and recommend solutions.
