About the Role
The Payroll Analyst supports accurate and timely processing of weekly multi‑state payroll, providing analytical insight, ensuring compliance, and delivering excellent customer service to employees. Working closely with the Payroll Operations Manager and collaborating with HR, Benefits, IT, and other stakeholders, the analyst helps maintain a seamless payroll cycle. The role demands strong attention to detail, exceptional communication, and a commitment to outstanding employee support. • Provide analytical insight and recommendations on payroll processes to leadership. • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures for payroll functions. • Accurately manage employee time and pay data from multiple sources within deadlines. • Analyze payroll data for completeness, accuracy, and regulatory compliance. • Adjust pay data as needed, ensuring proper documentation and authorization. • Serve as primary contact for employee payroll inquiries, delivering timely resolutions. • Communicate proactively with field employees, supervisors, and managers about payroll concerns. • Maintain detailed records of payroll processing, adjustments, and communications for audit purposes. • Prepare and distribute payroll‑related reports as required. • Process garnishments, deductions, and other payroll items under manager guidance. • Participate in testing and validation of payroll system updates and enhancements. • Provide backup support for other payroll functions as needed. • Collaborate with HR, Benefits, IT, and other departments to ensure accurate data flow and resolve cross‑functional issues. • Assist in training new payroll staff and guide best practices. • Uphold CoolSys CARES culture (Collaboration, Accountability, Respect, Empowerment, Safety) in all duties. • Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive employee information with discretion.

What You Bring
The position is open to applicants in Pacific time zones, with priority given to candidates near Brea, CA who can work a hybrid schedule. • Utilize advanced Excel and analytical skills for payroll reporting. • Hold at least 3 years of payroll processing experience and 1 year of hands‑on UKG Pro & Workforce Management experience. • Demonstrate exceptional verbal and written communication, organizational, and time‑management abilities.
