About the Role
The position is a Quality Engineer supporting both original equipment manufacture and repair activities across a broad product portfolio, including the JSF LiftSystem and key defence programmes such as EJ200, Adour, and TP400. The role ensures adherence to UK MoD, MAA MRP145 and the Rolls‑Royce Management System, working closely with Manufacturing Engineering and Operations. Core responsibilities include ensuring compliance with regulatory standards (MAA MRP145, AS9100, AS9110), taking part in defence audit programmes, supporting resolution of quality notifications, MARS investigations and audit non‑conformance reports, and improving right‑first‑time performance while reducing the cost of non‑quality. Visual management techniques are used to clearly communicate activities and achievements. • Ensure compliance with MAA MRP145, AS9100, and AS9110 standards. • Participate in defence audit programmes and assist external auditors. • Resolve Quality Notifications, MARS investigations, and audit non‑conformance reports. • Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering to improve right‑first‑time outcomes and reduce non‑quality costs. • Apply problem‑resolution skills (8D) and make data‑driven decisions.

What You Bring
Candidates must hold a professional engineering qualification (minimum HND/foundation degree or equivalent) and possess experience in non‑conformance management and problem‑resolution processes (8D beneficial). Interpersonal influencing skills, data‑driven decision making and knowledge of safety management systems are required. Preferred qualifications include Green Belt Lean/Six Sigma, Lead Auditor certification, and experience with MRP/EASA Part 145. • Use visual management to communicate activities and achievements clearly. • Hold a professional engineering qualification (HND/foundation degree or equivalent). • Preferred: Green Belt Lean/Six Sigma, Lead Auditor certification, MRP/EASA Part 145 experience, and Safety Management System knowledge.
