About the Role

Under general direction, the Wastewater & Bioenergy Specialist joins the PI360e Wastewater & Bioenergy team to support technical proposal development and due‑diligence for wastewater and bioenergy projects during sales and early development. The role serves as the primary technical expert, vetting project feasibility, specifications, and requirements while producing design documents, drawings, and cost estimates. The specialist also provides conceptual designs, site layouts, and annual energy yield estimates. Engineering duties include executing preliminary evaluations to identify wastewater and bioenergy opportunities, preparing quantitative technical responses, and estimating project size and revenue potential. The specialist creates conceptual engineering diagrams, scopes of work, and equipment selections, and oversees third‑party engineering through work orders, progress meetings, and quality control. Design documents are reviewed throughout the process to confirm objectives are met, and technical support is offered to internal teams on specifications, progress tracking, and integration across disciplines. Troubleshooting is provided during construction and post‑installation, and the specialist acts as the subject‑matter expert on external calls with clients, independent engineers, and suppliers. In business development, the specialist formulates and tracks national bioenergy target lists, collaborates with regional account executives, and maintains a network of utilities and brokerage firms. Opportunities to streamline the engineering process are identified, and QA/QC plans are developed to standardize development and construction management. Coordination includes reviewing contract exhibits, scopes of work, and technical documentation related to design, commissioning, and performance. Participation in industry trade shows, Water Environment Federation activities, and technical presentations reinforces the company's market presence. • Conduct preliminary evaluations and technical due diligence for wastewater and bioenergy projects. • Prepare technical proposals, conceptual designs, scopes of work, and cost estimates. • Oversee detailed engineering design, review drawings and specifications, and ensure alignment with project objectives. • Manage engineering work orders, progress meetings, and coordination with third‑party engineers. • Provide technical support during construction, commissioning, and post‑installation troubleshooting. • Lead incentive management, utility interconnection coordination, and maintain partner networks. • Develop and track national bioenergy opportunity lists and collaborate with regional account executives. • Create QA/QC plans and streamline engineering processes for project development. • Represent the team as subject‑matter expert in client, supplier, and regulator interactions.
