About the Role
The role performs engineering design evaluations, completes projects within budget and schedule constraints, ensures data accuracy, security, and regulatory compliance, reviews production and maintenance reports to address problems, provides technical support, and designs and communicates operational plans for project completion. • Collaborate with design and preconstruction teams to develop digital models with engineering input for constructability and cost‑efficiency. • Develop project schedules, budgets, and forecasts. • Ensure budget forecasts, progress monitoring, cost reporting, corrective actions, and information system procedures meet project requirements. • Establish and maintain cost control procedures. • Identify, develop, and gather resources needed to complete the project. • Liaise with planning, cost, estimating, and accounting functions on cost control matters. • Monitor and report information for master plan roll‑ups. • Track progress and performance against the project plan. • Support early project phases with conceptual estimating, design validation, and risk assessment through modeling and data analysis. • Prepare engineering designs and work specifications. • Provide commercial input and technical review of tenders and proposals. • Develop discipline‑specific forecasts for labor, procurement, and overall project cost projections. • Resolve operational problems and minimize delays. • May supervise engineers, drafters, and technicians. • Occasionally stoop, kneel, or bend. • Must comply with all safety standards and procedures. • Frequently use hands to grasp, lift, handle, carry, or feel objects. • Occasionally lift, push, or pull objects up to 50 lbs. • Sit, stand, or walk short distances for the entire shift duration. • Frequently use telephone, computer, email, and electronic devices for communication.
