About the Role
• Plan and implement material, equipment, and inspection schedules to support the project timeline. • Review construction documents for completeness, constructability, and contract alignment; coordinate with design engineers. • Develop and manage the project schedule and site logistics plan, utilizing tools and equipment and collaborating with partner superintendents. • Coach, supervise, and develop team members; conduct orientations, planning sessions, and site meetings; oversee hiring, transfers, and dismissals. • Ensure proper task coding, track work progress, and provide training and career development discussions. • Build effective relationships with individuals from diverse backgrounds and all organizational levels. • Lead by example, provide coaching and feedback, and manage performance. • Oversee safety, quality, risk, and compliance; identify and mitigate unfavorable conditions and pursue process improvements.

What You Bring
Mortenson is seeking a Superintendent to coordinate, plan, and supervise assistant superintendents, contractors, and craft activities within a specific discipline while developing customer relationships through excellent service. The role is offered at levels I and II, with compensation based on experience and location. The position requires an associate’s or bachelor’s degree in a construction‑related field or ten years of trade experience, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to manage multiple complex projects from development through closeout. Candidates must possess strong communication, customer service, and Microsoft Office skills, and be able to travel up to 100 percent. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship; Mortenson does not provide sponsorship. • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Civil, Architectural Engineering, Construction Management, or 10 years of trade experience. • Minimum 5 years (Superintendent I) or 8 years (Superintendent II) of construction management or related experience. • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel up to 100%. • Detail‑oriented with strong organizational skills for managing multiple project tasks. • Basic knowledge of construction law, business practices, and equal employment opportunity policies. • Intermediate Microsoft Office proficiency and strong communication/active‑listening skills. • Positive, professional attitude with strong customer‑service focus.

Benefits
Compensation ranges from $111,400 to $195,200, with higher ranges for certain office locations, and includes eligibility for Mortenson’s incentive plan.
