About the Role

In this skilled position you will install, program, troubleshoot, configure, commission, and service fire alarm, access control, and CCTV systems at customer sites. Tasks include panel repair/re‑programming, device replacement, low‑voltage circuit troubleshooting, and system testing, with a primary focus on networked fire‑alarm systems. You will perform installations and programming of integrated security and fire‑alarm systems, respond promptly to customer service calls, and participate in an after‑hours service program. The role requires reading and interpreting blueprints, diagrams, specifications, and manuals, supervising installations to meet contract specifications, completing required certifications, and submitting all documentation on time. • Install, program, troubleshoot, configure, commission, and service fire alarm, access control, and CCTV systems. • Perform panel repairs, device replacements, low‑voltage circuit troubleshooting, and system testing. • Respond to customer service calls promptly and participate in after‑hours support. • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, specifications, and product manuals. • Supervise and inspect equipment installations to meet contract specifications. • Complete required certifications and submit all documentation on time. • Maintain flexible hours, weekend availability, and occasional overnight travel.

What You Bring

Applicants must have at least three years of documented experience with low‑voltage electrical systems such as fire/life‑safety, access control, CCTV, and security, as well as a high school diploma or equivalent. The position demands the ability to lift 50‑70 lb, work at heights up to 40 ft, operate in ducts or crawl spaces, and maintain flexible hours including weekends and travel. A valid driver’s license, ability to pass background and drug tests, and a Massachusetts Class D Electrical License are required, along with strong customer service, safety compliance, and organizational skills. Preferred qualifications include an associate’s degree in electronics, networking, or related fields and NICET Level II certification within the first year. The hourly rate ranges from $26.92 to $36.92, based on experience and education, and the role includes a competitive benefits package.
