About the Role
The manager will supervise the financial health of projects, develop and maintain financial and equipment forecasts, allocate estimates, and manage invoicing and billing processes. They will also handle subcontracts, budget selections, and serve as the primary point of contact with owners and on‑site representatives. Leadership duties include guiding Assistant Project Managers and Project Engineers, assigning jobs, providing training, and resolving site concerns, change orders, and approvals while maintaining schedule, budget, quality, risk, safety, and compliance. • Supervise overall financial health of projects • Develop and maintain project financial and equipment projections • Allocate project estimates into the financial system, determine cost codes, approve invoices • Provide financials and billings to Accounting, create monthly owner billings • Handle subcontracts and suppliers, manage budget and selections • Lead Assistant Project Managers and Project Engineers, provide job assignments and training • Function as main point of contact with owner and on-site representative • Resolve site concerns, handle change orders, and obtain necessary approvals • Maintain schedule and budget, manage quality, risk, safety, and compliance

What You Bring
Mortenson is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager I to lead one large project or multiple projects, overseeing quality, timeliness, safety, and mentoring the project team. The role requires excellent written and verbal communication, flexibility, inventiveness, dedication, efficiency, integrity, and confidentiality. Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience, have at least eight years of construction or project management experience, and be capable of managing multiple large, complex projects. Strong communication, a basic understanding of construction law, intermediate Microsoft Office skills, a professional attitude, customer service focus, a valid driver’s license, and willingness to travel up to 100% are required. • Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Civil, Architectural Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent experience • Minimum eight years of construction management/project management experience • Ability to manage multiple large complex projects • Strong active listening and communication skills, open to diverse input • Basic understanding of construction law and business practices • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office, project, and web applications • Positive professional attitude and strong customer service skills • Ability to interpret and communicate Mortenson policies • Current driver’s license and ability to travel up to 100%

The position offers a base pay range of $144,300 to $216,500, with higher ranges for certain locations, and eligibility for Mortenson’s incentive plan.
