About the Role
The Assistant Property Manager at One Norman Square will ensure the community is maintained to a market‑ready standard while delivering a high level of service. In this fast‑paced role, the associate also builds and motivates high‑performing teams to maximize property performance. Working directly with the Property Manager, the assistant oversees day‑to‑day operations, including maintenance, capital improvements, lease administration, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, collections, evictions, vacancy planning, marketing, lease renewals, service contracts, expense control, and audits. They also handle lease and renewal paperwork to meet company standards and monitor advertising effectiveness and prospect traffic. The role emphasizes exceptional customer service, providing clear communication to residents and prospects to enhance satisfaction, renewal rates, and overall profitability. Maintaining resident files, resolving conflicts promptly, and fostering a positive living environment are key responsibilities. Staffing duties involve interviewing, hiring, and coaching on‑site personnel while ensuring adherence to Cushman & Wakefield policies and the company mission. The assistant also collaborates with the leasing team to achieve marketing and leasing targets and manages the community’s budget and financial performance. • Assist Property Manager with operations such as maintenance, capital improvements, lease administration, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, collections, evictions, vacancy planning, marketing, lease renewals, service contracts, expense control, and audits. • Provide superior customer service to residents and prospects to boost satisfaction, renewals, and overall profitability. • Complete lease and renewal paperwork in accordance with company standards. • Monitor advertising performance and prospect traffic. • Recruit, hire, coach, and ensure compliance of on‑site staff with Cushman & Wakefield policies. • Maintain resident files and foster a positive living environment through prompt conflict resolution. • Manage community budget and finances while collaborating with leasing staff to meet marketing and leasing goals. • Set leasing goals, supervise daily team performance, and lead operational activities.

What You Bring

Preferred education includes a bachelor’s degree, with a minimum of a high school diploma or GED, and at least three years of property‑management experience plus one year in a supervisory capacity. The position operates in a professional office setting, utilizing standard equipment and requiring occasional travel between properties in various weather conditions. Physical demands include standing, walking, climbing stairs or ladders, lifting up to 25 lb, and up to 15 % travel time. • Demonstrate effective communication, customer‑service abilities, and proficiency with Microsoft Office and general office tasks. • Required education: high school diploma/GED (Bachelor’s preferred); 3+ years property‑management experience and 1+ year supervisory experience. • Physical requirements include standing, walking, climbing stairs or ladders, lifting up to 25 lb, and up to 15% travel.
