About the Role
As a senior mechanic you will maintain and repair the trucks and equipment that serve over 20 million customers, applying modern tools and procedures to diesel and, at some locations, CNG fleets. • Inspect, diagnose, and repair electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake, and air systems on diesel and CNG vehicles • Estimate time and material costs for repairs and new parts • Perform work within Standard Labor Repair Times (SRTs) • Respond to emergency breakdown service calls • Conduct safety checks and ensure compliance with OSHA and corporate standards • Complete paperwork documenting parts usage and repair times • Review and assign repairs from Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports • Maintain a clean, safe work area

What You Bring

If those priorities resonate with you, WM may be the ideal next step. • Minimum 4 years relevant diesel/CNG mechanic experience • Valid driver’s license with a clean record • Age 18 or older and legal U.S. work eligibility • Ability to meet physical demands of lifting, standing, and working in varied conditions • Pass pre‑employment drug screen and physical • Comfortable working independently and collaboratively • Determined problem solver • Frequent lifting, pushing, pulling, crouching, climbing; constant standing, walking, grasping • Exposure to cuts, burns, toxic chemicals, dirt, noise, and weather extremes
