Design and oversee municipal water and wastewater treatment projects.

About the Role
• Design municipal servicing projects (sewage pumping stations, water booster stations, elevated tanks, reservoirs, treatment systems) and produce drawings, reports, and regulatory applications. • Coordinate designs with municipal, utility, and other approval agencies to obtain necessary permits. • Liaise with clients, municipalities, and agencies to secure project approvals. • Develop and manage project scope, budget, staffing, and schedule. • Prepare construction contract documents, including engineering drawings and specifications. • Conduct construction inspection and administration services, including submittal reviews and RFIs. • Perform constructability reviews and ensure quality assurance/control on projects. • Mentor junior team members in municipal infrastructure design. • Prepare engineering proposals, change orders, and client communications for specific projects. • Deliver tasks accurately and efficiently with minimal supervision.

GFT is seeking a Water/Wastewater Treatment Process Engineer to join its Water team in Toronto, Mississauga or Ottawa, Ontario. The position follows a hybrid work model, requiring regular attendance at the office in one of those cities. GFT is an Equal Opportunity Employer. Benefits
The salary range for this full‑time role is $86,000 to $126,000, dependent on experience and location. GFT is a privately held AEC firm that focuses on the intersection of transportation, water, power, and buildings, calling its work the “Infrastructure of Life.”
