About the Role

The Contract Administrator will interpret the project agreement, administer the change process, draft contractual correspondence, and prepare reports on issues, potential disputes, and actual disputes. They will collaborate with design, construction, and claims teams to gather information, maintain digital records, and generate management reports. Monitoring contractual deadlines, flagging concerns early, and ensuring accurate invoicing and daily reports are also key responsibilities. Claims coordination involves mining information to develop chronological facts for potential and ongoing claims, drafting claim reports, and maintaining up‑to‑date claim records. The role requires liaison with the legal team, schedule and construction teams, and timely submission of claim documents to avoid disputes. • Draft and manage prime‑contract correspondence, change orders, and monthly construction payment reports. • Coordinate with design, construction, schedule, and claims teams to gather information and resolve contractual issues. • Monitor contractual deadlines, flag risks, and generate management reports for dispute avoidance and resolution. • Conduct claims information mining, maintain claim records, and liaise with legal and third‑party reviewers. • Maintain accurate digital records, process invoices, and compile daily reports. • Apply strong research, risk assessment, and MS Office/Power BI skills to support commercial decisions.

What You Bring

Essential skills include proven experience in contract administration, strong drafting abilities, attention to detail, and proficiency in MS Office and Power BI. Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in construction‑related fields, business, or finance, and have at least three years of prime‑contract administration experience. Travel is limited to less than 5 % and the position requires residence in or relocation to Edmonton, Alberta. Preferred experience includes work on Light Rail Transit and P3 projects, familiarity with SharePoint, Aconex, project scheduling, delay analysis, and commercial cost concepts. Certification such as MRICS, MCIArb, ACIArb, PQS, or CEC is advantageous, and the ability to join the team on short notice is valued. • Hold a bachelor’s degree in construction, business, or related field and ≥ 3 years prime‑contract administration experience. • Possess certifications such as MRICS, MCIArb, ACIArb, PQS, or CEC, or be working toward them. • Preferred experience with Light Rail Transit, P3 projects, SharePoint, Aconex, and project scheduling/delay analysis. • Ability to travel up to 5 % to construction sites and relocate to Edmonton, Alberta.
