What You Bring
Kimley-Horn's Richmond, Virginia office is seeking a Civil Engineer-in-Training (EIT) with at least two years of traffic engineering experience to join its Transportation/Traffic team. The position is on-site and offers mentorship, on-the-job training, and exposure to project financials and client interactions. Candidates should hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in civil engineering from an ABET‑accredited program, possess an EIT or engineering‑intern certification (or be able to obtain it within 12 months), and demonstrate proficiency with traffic analysis software and strong communication skills. • Hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree from an ABET‑accredited civil engineering program • Obtain Engineer‑In‑Training or Engineering Intern certification within 12 months • Use Synchro, AutoCAD, MicroStation, Microsoft Visio, or other traffic analysis software • Communicate technical thoughts clearly and concisely • Produce excellent technical writing • Work independently and collaboratively as a team member
