About the Role

Technician III is responsible for operating the facility, including mechanical and supporting systems, performing structured inspections, preventive and corrective maintenance, and routine or on‑demand services on facility mechanical equipment and other systems. The role also requires adherence to established processes, practices, and compliance with internal and external requirements such as environmental, health and safety, and fire protection. The technician troubleshoots facility mechanical and electrical equipment, provides observations on conditions and deficiencies, and suggests enhancements. Maintenance duties include regular monitoring inspections, preventive and corrective work to achieve facility uptime and asset integrity, responding to service requests, and conducting walkthroughs of mechanical, electrical, and other systems. The role involves operating mechanical systems, managing the work‑order lifecycle, recording resolution data, and supporting the implementation of a preventative maintenance program while ensuring deficiencies are documented and escalated. Customer interaction focuses on enhancing tenant and client satisfaction through the quality of work and service delivery. What You Bring

Candidates must hold a high school diploma with trade training or certification, and at least three years of experience providing preventive and corrective maintenance on HVAC, pneumatic, or hydraulic systems. Required knowledge includes facility operations processes, building automation systems, HVAC systems, and a strong environmental, health and safety mindset. Effective communication, mentoring abilities, willingness to work shifts and on‑call, adherence to PPE requirements, security clearance eligibility, and a valid driver’s license are also essential. Required licenses or professional accreditation include a Building Operator Certification (or equivalent) or a provincial HVAC/apprentice license such as Gasfitter I & II or refrigeration license.
