About the Role
• Supervise fire alarm technicians, installers, and subcontractors; plan daily work activities and manpower. • Provide technical guidance, troubleshooting, on‑site leadership, and enforce company safety policies. • Coordinate fire alarm work with general contractors and other trades; review drawings, specifications, and schedules; resolve field conflicts. • Ensure compliance with NFPA 72, Ohio fire code, and local AHJ requirements; coordinate inspections, testing, and commissioning; act as primary field contact with fire marshals. • Perform field quality checks, assist with deficiency resolution, as‑built documentation, closeout, system turnover, and customer training.

What You Bring
IES Residential, Inc. is seeking an experienced Fire Alarm Superintendent to lead the installation, coordination, and execution of fire alarm and life‑safety systems on commercial construction projects in the Cincinnati, Ohio region. The role provides strong field leadership, ensures code compliance, and drives projects to successful completion while maintaining safety, quality, and schedule. • Minimum 5+ years fire alarm installation and field supervision experience; strong knowledge of fire alarm systems, panels, devices, and NFPA 72; ability to read construction drawings; strong communication and organizational skills; valid driver’s license. • Preferred: NICET Fire Alarm Systems certification (Level III/IV), Ohio fire alarm license or ability to obtain, commercial construction experience, prior superintendent/foreman or lead technician role. • Physical requirements: lift/carry up to 50 lb, climb ladders/scaffolding, work at heights and in confined spaces, stand/walk/kneel for extended periods, use hand tools, testing equipment, and electronic devices.
