About the Role

The core duties involve managing the component database (AMPL) in SAP and Windchill, creating new part numbers, ensuring REACH and RoHS compliance, analyzing part obsolescence, and supporting hardware design by researching and testing alternate component solutions. Interns will also prepare component specifications, standardize electrical/electromechanical parts, and collaborate with industrialization, procurement, and suppliers to resolve end‑of‑life issues. • Manage and maintain the component database (AMPL) in SAP and Windchill. • Create new part numbers and ensure REACH and RoHS compliance. • Perform part obsolescence analysis and identify alternate components. • Develop complete component specifications for all families. • Support hardware design by researching, testing, and validating alternate solutions. • Collaborate with industrialization, localization, procurement, suppliers, and subcontractors to resolve end‑of‑life issues. • Review component datasheets and ensure information flow to contract manufacturers. • Work with the Product HSE team to maintain safety and environmental standards. • Participation in intern showcases, graduation ceremony, and company social events.

What You Bring

Candidates should be pursuing a degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, Engineering Science or Engineering Physics and have completed at least three undergraduate years. Required skills include strong written and oral communication, knowledge of electronic component characteristics, familiarity with mechanical specifications, awareness of HSE standards, attention to detail, critical thinking, and proficiency in Microsoft Office and VBA macros. The internship is open to co‑op students with at least one academic term remaining after completion; prior co‑op or internship experience is a plus.
