About the Role

As a Senior Occupancy Planner you will be the primary point of contact for comprehensive occupancy planning and management services for enterprise clients. You will optimize workspace efficiency through expert space assignments, data‑driven insights and strategic program implementation while handling day‑to‑day operational requests and long‑term space optimization initiatives. Your expertise in space‑planning methodologies, technology platforms and client relationship management will directly impact business objectives and workplace transformation. In this role you will manage occupancy operations, assigning and reassigning individual spaces based on validated business needs and seat‑sharing ratios, and negotiate space transfers between business units. You will conduct building audits with onsite teams to verify employee locations, furniture layouts and room configurations, then update block plans and propose solutions for complex requirements. You will oversee monthly reporting schedules, quarterly analytics, and data stewardship to ensure accuracy and consistency across all datasets. What You Bring

Required qualifications include 8+ years of experience in occupancy planning, space management or facility management with a proven track record of managing enterprise‑level programs. Candidates must be proficient with IWMS/CAFM systems (preferably OpenSpace), have strong analytical capabilities, and possess knowledge of BOMA, IFMA or RICS measurement standards and workplace strategy concepts. Experience with AutoCAD for block planning and demonstrated data‑management, reconciliation and quality‑assurance skills are essential. The role also demands strong client‑facing abilities, stakeholder relationship management and familiarity with space‑optimization and lean process methodologies. Preferred qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in architecture, real estate, business administration or a related field, along with professional certifications in space planning or facility management. Experience managing Fortune 500 client accounts, leading large‑scale workplace transformation initiatives and working with multiple CAFM/IWMS platforms, advanced analytics and dashboard development is highly valued. Background in workplace strategy development, consulting or corporate real‑estate advisory services and a record of thought leadership through speaking, publications or professional organization involvement are also desirable. The estimated compensation range for this position is $140,000‑$165,000 per year, with final packages determined by qualifications, location and market conditions. The role is based on‑site in multiple U.S. cities including Baltimore, Boston, Chicago, Dallas, New York and Washington, DC among others.
